It is our pleasure to announce that the 2019 APCA Conference will take place at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. 

This year's topic is intended to encompass a broad range of perspectives. Examples include (but are not limited to) issues around damages awarded in particular  contexts; community practices and perceptions of copyright laws; the public interest in copyright enforcement; institutional risk-averse practices versus legal compliance.

This year's Keynote Speaker will be Professor Susy Frankel.

Chair in Intellectual Property and International Trade, Faculty of Law, Victoria University of Wellington.

The conference registration includes lunches and morning/afternoon teas during the Conference, the Conference Dinner on Monday 11 November, and the return coach to the Martinborough on 12 November. Extra tickets for the Conference Dinner can be purchased for $120 NZD.

Please join us on the afternoon of 12 November (after the conference) for an Excursion to Martinborough, in the wine-making region of Wairarapa. Coach return travel and lunch are provided. You can find details here.


The conference will take place at Victoria Business School, Victoria University of Wellington. This is located at Rutherford House, in Room MZ05.

The Speakers' Dinner on Sunday 10 November, at 18.30, is at The Backbencher (34 Molesworth St, Thorndon, Wellington 6011). 

The Conference Dinner on Monday 11 November, at 18.30, is at Shed 5 (Queens Wharf, Wellington, 6011).
